AgTrax Solutions News – July 2024 Edition

Reilly grew up in Ulysses, Kansas on a family grain and cattle operation. Growing up she was very active in 4-H and FFA with horses and cattle. She attended Oklahoma Panhandle State in Goodwell, Oklahoma where she was an active member of the equestrian teams and judging teams. She started out in the grain industry as a scale house operator in high school. She was able to see the commercial side of grain handling firsthand.

After college she worked for Seaboard Foods in the Grain Department as the Grain Clerk. She worked her way up to merchandising for the 8 company feedmills. Following her position there, she relocated to Oberlin, Kansas to be the Grain Department Manager for Decatur Cooperative Association. Reilly’s favorite part about the Ag Community is the people and the complexity of it. She currently resides in Hutchinson, Kansas with her fiancé Alex. Reilly is looking forward to working with customers and sharing her passion for the industry.

  • Scott Coop has been an AgTrax Customer since 1997 – What do you attribute our long partnership with one another to? Within the last few years, we have really enhanced our relationship with AgTrax by working alongside them, asking the tough questions on what’s possible with their software application and sharing with them ideas on how things can or could be improved. They listened and addressed those head on with top priority and professionalism. I think our relationship has become stronger in the past year than I think it ever has. Relationships play a key part in everything, and having a strong relationship with a locally owned accounting software company in Kansas is important!

  • What has been your experience with our AgTrax Sales & Client Services Teams? Our experience has a lot to do with our relationship. AgTrax has some very smart and friendly people working for them, sometimes just picking up the phone and calling them has made a world of difference and a lot better for Scott Coop.

  • What do you like about AgTrax and our TraxView | Elevate Advanced Software Solutions? I like the ease of using both Classic and Traxview. We have employees who use one more than the other, depends a lot on what their role is. With every software application, you are going to have pros and cons, especially when you start comparing them to each other. 28 years of experience and service to agribusinesses around the state gives me the upmost confidence in them.

  • What do you like about our SaaS environment vs. On Prem?  We have been on the SaaS environment for a while now. We like that there is no server maintenance or server purchase every five to seven years which is a cost-effective approach. The additional security and data protection as well as the ongoing support and maintenance helps us keep focused on other priorities that drive the business forward.

  • Scott Coop has recently implemented Elevate to your Marienthal location, what do you like and how does it make it more efficient? We use Elevate at our Marienthal elevator, the largest elevator in total capacity for Scott Coop. We wanted to get a better feel of the application prior to implementing it across all locations. I don’t have much experience with Elevate, but our location manager stated the following, “Elevate is an extremely effective tool for the Marienthal location. It helps me in the office to see what bins are available during harvest. I can accurately show grade factors for bins and generally how much space is left in that bin. In my current position where I primarily manage from an office setting, it helps immensely.”

  • What kind of enhancements has AgTrax put out there to help Scott Cooperative Association be more efficient? As with many different applications, it’s how to use the data that is the most important. With ODBC connections, we have been able to extract data to customize reports and analyze data differently. We’ve begun pushing Patron Access more to our customer base, since it’s a tool they can be used to view their invoices, statements, grain balances and tickets, equity balances and more. Like I mentioned above, we have one location using Elevate and having good luck with it. We do use Classic and Traxview; each one having its own unique benefit and purpose to each employee that uses it. There have been enhancements inside the AgTrax application that have been very helpful as well to our day-to-day operations and procedures. What I have been excited about over the past few months is the hidden functionalities of AgTrax, things we didn’t know the software had the capability of doing. More than once I’ve asked a question and their response has been “AgTrax can already do that!”. Sometimes just getting that right person on the phone and asking those questions is key and the path to move forward with AgTrax.

  • Scott Coop utilizes Square9 and Barchart API’s. What do you like about each Integration with TraxView? Square9 has been a great tool that we implemented seven years ago. We use it primarily for invoice management and storage. What I like most about the application is the ease of uploading the invoice into GlobalSearch, where a digital copy of the invoice will be indexed by our AP Clerk. Once the invoice is approved, the API will send the data into AgTrax where the check will eventually be written. It’s super nice to be able to log into GlobalSearch to view invoices; we also use it for record retention, so we don’t have to store actual paper copies. The Barchart API is used tremendously through the phone app where customers can view grain tickets, balances and more. It’s a tool that our customers have come accustomed to and enjoy having.
