Our People

AgTrax is made up of 35 people (and growing) with a passion for simply building the best accounting and advanced grain bin management software for Agribusinesses of all types. For more than 25 years, we have taken pride in servicing our customers to the fullest.  Most of our employees are ‘farm kids’ themselves, with ag retail experiences that bring a unique knowledge base to help both our team and in turn, your team succeed.

With all three considered key components to a successful leadership team, our crew is led by industry veterans.  We have a fresh blend of those who have been with AgTrax since its inception and those who bring a renewed perspective to the ever-changing desires of our client base.  Our leadership team focuses on transparency with employees and customers alike as our software continues to evolve with the industry.

Our History

Starting in 1996 after many of our current customers requested that we write a new program to address their specific needs after trying others, and today they remain committed to our success.
Since that simple beginning, AgTrax has grown to be known as 'The Industry Standard' in grain accounting software and a firm of passionate, dedicated individuals.    
We are lucky to have the same owner since our inception - showing stability and commitment that very few in our industry can provide. Today, our leadership team includes some of the original employees.

Marc McCrary

Controller

Mr. McCrary joined the company in 2014 as the Corporate Controller for Integrated Solutions Group, which includes AgTrax.   Marc has earned his Bachelors in Accounting from Kansas State University; his Masters of Business Administration from Fort Hays State University, and he successfully passed the CPA exam.  Having more than 30 years of experience in working for companies in public accounting, manufacturing and software development, he leads the day to day operations of the accounting and administration departments.


Gayle Lewis

President

Mr. Lewis has served as the President of AgTrax since 2016.  Having earned his Associate of Computer Science from Kansas State University, he began his career in software development.  Hired as the second employee upon AgTrax's inception in 1996, Mr. Lewis would serve as the Director of Development for 15 years.  In 2011, he was promoted to the Director of Operations where he was responsible for overseeing the Directors of Development, Client Services, Quality Assurance and IT.  In December 2016, he was promoted to Company President where he continues to lead AgTrax as a dominate provider of ERP solutions for Ag-Retail Businesses.

Michael Hinton

Director of Sales & Marketing

Mr. Hinton serves as Director of Sales & Marketing at AgTrax. Born in Newton, KS and raised on a small rural (Hobby) farm near Walton, KS; he is proud to call Kansas Home. Michael joined the company in 2020, and enjoys serving and supporting AgTrax’s agribusiness customers, its’ growing network of integrated partners, the Hutchinson business community, and the State of Kansas. He brings to the company 38-years’ professional management experience in industry sectors that include: Agriculture, Animal Nutrition, Manufacturing, Technology, and Marketing. Mr. Hinton’s objective (and that of the entire AgTrax team) is to be customer centric – creating the best experience for the customer, through listening, communication, service, and support. A culture that AgTrax is long known for, and is reflected in its' leadership role within the agribusiness software technology marketplace.

Brad Specht

Director of Client Services

Mr. Specht has served as the Director of Client Services for the past 5 years.  Having arrived at AgTrax in 2013, Specht immediately recognized that the software technology in the agriculture industry was gaining ground and he made it his personal mission to learn and understand the complexity of API's (application programming interfaces).  He took a special interest in serving our customers by listening to their needs and taking that information to the development team to bring this important technology to life within the AgTrax network of more than 20 integrated partners.  In 2018, he was promoted to the Director of Client Services and he has nearly doubled the size of the Client Services team.  Mr. Specht and his team strive to provide nothing less than the best in customer service.  

Pat Lee

Director of Development & Quality Assurance

Mr. Lee currently serves as the Director of Development and Quality Assurance.  Lee was among the first employees, starting slightly over a year after AgTrax's inception. He spent several years as an Install Lead for new customer installs and training and later took a position on the development team.  In 2009, Mr. Lee became the Director of Client Services and served this position well for 9 years.  With his deep understanding of the ins and outs of our software program, he was promoted to the Director of Quality Assurance.  In 2022, it was evident that the Quality Assurance team and the Development team was best managed together as one team in which he was promoted to the Director of Development and Quality Assurance.  

Jay Humphrey

Director of IT

Mr. Humphrey has served as Director of Information Technology at AgTrax for the last 10 years. He has a combined 15-years of experience working in agriculture, medical & school systems. At AgTrax, he oversees the Information Technology (IT) Department – A role that includes overall IT direction and coordination of infrastructure and service delivery across the organization’s safeguarded technology platform. Mr. Humphrey also manages the company’s IT units, which support internal applications and data, network & desktop support, and information security. In addition, he is actively engaged with AgTrax’s customer base, providing expert IT support to over 170+ organizations, located throughout the top U.S. agriculture-producing States and Canada.
