AgTrax adds RFID compatibility to its AgRemote™ scale interface

AgTrax understands how driver interaction, language barriers, or one of many other factors at the scale, can be instrumental in slowing things down during the busiest times of year.

We're working to help! We have added RFID industry standard compatibility to our scale interface in an effort to expedite grain delivery year-round- not just during crunch time.

The industry has embraced scale automation tools to speed grain delivery however possible- AgTrax now has the ability to accept data from RFID card readers at the scale head and have that data pre-populate customer information at the scale-desk interface.

We've taken the most widely used RFID formats (Wiegand 26Bit) available today from a variety of scale equipment vendors and created data compatibility at our interface. The driver simply swipes the RFID card at the reader pad (both IB and OB) and customer-specific information pertaining to his current load is displayed on the monitor in the scale house.

Click here to see how it works-  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74Wx7cTeWQg

AgTrax does NOT sell any of the necessary equipment to facilitate this process improvement- we recommend you contact your scale company.

This update to the scale interface will be available in time for Spring harvest as part of our scheduled May General release and there is no additional cost to currently licensed scale interfaces.

AgTrax adds RFID compatibility to its AgRemote™ scale interface

AgTrax Technologies (www.agtrax.com), the leading provider of advanced ERP software solutions that maximize productivity and enhance profitability for agribusinesses of all size, has announced another product update designed specifically to increase efficiency for ag retailers at the scale.

AgRemote™, the scale interface available from AgTrax today, is adding RFID technology to its list of industry-leading functionality.  Using RFID standard cards and sensors at both inbound and outbound scale heads, details about each grain delivery can be retrieved automatically within the AgRemote™ interface.

“Our customers have tasked us with bringing additional software tools and functionality to the market that may provide them with a competitive advantage.  The RFID system, available today from multiple scale equipment vendors will increase efficiency at the scale, eliminate any communication barriers between truck drivers and elevator personnel, ultimately speeding up deliveries during harvest or other busy times, does just that,” says Gayle Lewis – Director of Operations at AgTrax.  “The seasonal ‘bottle-neck’ at the scale is always a topic of conversation in the industry so we have enhanced our AgRemote™ interface to accept data from these systems in an effort to continue to help our customers alleviate that scenario and discover every avenue for increased efficiency.”

Lewis continues, “Our interface is compatible with any system operating on the Wiegand 26Bit format, an RFID industry standard.  AgTrax does not sell the RFID equipment- we recommend contacting your scale equipment provider to inquire about AgRemote™ compatibility and availability.”
